Outreach Van
Alpine Outreach van is a self drive consulting space available for allied healthcare providers, local health professionals, government and organisations to use and provide allied health services and emergency recovery services.
The van is also available to use for skin cancer checks by trained clinicians who will come to your organisation or business for a fee.
Service Area
Alpine Outreach multi-use facility can be taken into the areas where it is most needed to provide preventive, health care consulting services remote servicing and disaster response.
The Alpine Outreach van can be used to service the areas of North East Victoria including Myrtleford, Milawa, King Valley, Cheshunt, Beechworth, Yackandandah, Mount Beauty, Dederang, Bright, Mudgegonga, Rosewhite, Kergunyah, Wangaratta and surrounding areas.
Eligible Users
Several potential uses have been highlighted in consultations across the region including, but not limited to:
- Diabetes screening
- Blood pressure checks
- Private gp consultations
- Health promotion and awareness programs
- Rural financial counselling
- Mental health services
- Skin cancer checks
- Hearing checks
- Other allied health services
- Community recovery and disaster response information and services.
Van Facilities
The multi-use facility is designed for one-on-one allied health consultations.
The van includes the following set up/ equipment:
- Starlink internet connection
- Steps into van
- Small fridge
- 2 Workstations
- Patient bed
- Plenty of storage
- PowerPoints
- Privacy curtains
Booking Procedures – Skin Cancer Checks
You can check availability of van at any time – without registering your organisation business.
There are 2 steps to booking skin cancer checks at your organisation or business:
- Register group/business with Alpine Outreach for billing purposes
- Submit your booking/s online (at least fourteen days notice)
Alpine Outreach will check availability of staff that day and then confirm arrangements with you
Van Fees – Onsite Skin Cancer Checks
Charged daily for 8 hour day including travel to and from site from Myrtleford
- $1,500 per day for partners and sponsors
- $2,500 per day commercial businesses

Booking Procedures – Self Drive
You can check availability of van at any time – without registering your organisation business.
There are 3 steps to booking the Alpine Outreach van:
- Register group/business with Alpine Outreach (annually) with P/L Certificate of Currency
- Each driver must be over 25 years or age and submit driver declaration (annually)
- Submit your booking/s online (at least seven days notice)
Van Fees – Self Drive
Alpine Outreach fees for use are to support the ongoing repairs, maintenance and replacement of this community resource and are negotiable:
- $300 per day for partners and sponsors
- $400 per day for not for profit organisations
- $500 per day for commercial operators
The van will be provided to the user with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with a full tank of diesel fuel at the user’s expense.
Payments
Payment is required within 30 days of invoice date and can be made:
- by EFT as per bank details on Tax Invoice
- by credit card over phone on 03-5751 0311 quoting invoice number

Your Responsibilities
As a user your responsibilities are to ensure the safety of you and any passenger at all times, abide by the laws and regulations of VicRoads and return the van in good condition. Users should report any problems immediately on 03 5751 0311 and complete an accident procedure form provided in van.
Users are required to supply their own driver and complete the log book provided at the start and completion of usage. Drivers must hold a current drivers licence and be over 25 years of age, must not have any drugs or alcohol present in their blood or breath immediately before, or whilst driving the van.
The van will be provided with a full tank of diesel fuel and is to be returned with a full tank of diesel fuel, clean inside and out, with a clean windscreen.
Van Facilities
It is expected that organisations and individuals that use the van will bring in and take away further equipment that is required to do complete their tasks.
Van Details
We have a modern VW Crafter 35 long wheel base van provided by the Jacob Group – Wodonga Prestige.
PLEASE NOTE: the van is a long wheel base vehicle with 3.0m high roof. Extra care and room is required when driving and cornering.
Booking Confirmation
A Tax Invoice will be emailed by Alpine Outreach Inc.
Cancellations
Require at least three working days notice or normal hire charges will still apply and be invoiced.
